#TeamJustice & partners are advocating for you to SUPPORT SB710 in this 2021 legislative cycle.

Bill Summary:

SB710 would require a District Attorney or the Attorney General to recuse themselves from a decision relating to investigating, charging, or prosecuting a law enforcement officer for alleged criminal conduct while on duty if the District Attorney or Attorney General has a conflict of interest. SB 710 will address this conflict of interest by requiring prosecutors who have received campaign contributions from an association solely representing law enforcement to recuse themselves from the investigation, charging, or prosecution of a police officer if that association provides the officer representation in the criminal investigation.
